Kathie Owings is President of Arborshade Custom Homes, LLC in Augusta, GA. Reared in Florida in a construction family, she was educated at Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL and Bellarmine College, Louisville, KY. Kathie brings to her craft the perspectives of a thoughtful designer, homemaker, and builder. She is a member of GuildQuality and the National Home Builders Association.

After more than 20 years as a full-time mom, Kathie founded Arborshade Custom Homes, LLC in 2000 with the goal of becoming a premier custom residential builder in Richmond and Columbia counties. Mentored by her father, with a passion for architectural design, her homes combine aesthetics and ambiance with practicality. "I design and build a home mindful of the way a family lives and uses space. Openness, beauty, optimum use of space, generous walk-in storage, attractive curb appeal, and classic touches hued with character describe my home design."

Kathie and her husband, Dr. Timothy Owings, live in Columbia County and have 3 grown children: Nathan, Justin, and Lindsey.
